If you want a whiter, straighter, more perfectly shaped smile, porcelain veneers pose an attractive option. As cosmetic dentists, Dr. Matthew and Dr. Stephanie Martin design custom porcelain veneers according to each patient’s unique skin tone, face shape, existing dentition, and personal preferences. At your consultation, the dentist will review photos with you, then help you determine which attributes of your favorite smiles would look attractive with your image. Once a plan is created, you’ll return to our office for the first clinical visit.
The initial veneers appointment will involve preparing your teeth and taking impressions for our lab. The dentist will also record shading information and pertinent data for the ceramist. You’ll wear temporary veneers while your custom restorations are handcrafted in a dental lab from fine, light-reflecting porcelain. At your second visit, Dr. Matthew or Dr. Stephanie Martin will remove your temporaries and permanently affix the final veneers in place.
Some patients prefer Lumineers, an ultrathin style of veneer that requires no tooth preparation. Lumineers look natural and beautiful if used in the correct case. However, they aren’t the best option for every patient.
